About Shaun
Raised in the ’70s by free spirits in Colorado, Shaun was led to San Francisco in 1988 by fate, love, and the unbridled desire to taste the beauty and delights the world has to offer. After arrival she worked in fashion and studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. A lifelong craving for food that didn’t contain wheatgerm, combined with a knack for all things festive, ultimately led to her becoming a chef, event planner, and cooking educator. Today her special projects include developing programs that inspire children and teenagers to discover and enjoy the goodness of real food.
She lives in beautiful Half Moon Bay, California, with her handsome husband and 15 year-old wild child. Mad passions: family, friends, travel, good times, great cooking, and whatever’s next for Arlychoke!
